Hi! I’m Jillian Beard.

Growing up in south central Nebraska (where the nearest McDonalds was over 15 miles away) gave me a perspective on good home cooking, hard work and family values. I moved to Chicago with my boyfriend (now husband) in 2004. We’ve been exploring the city ever since.

I’m a food and wine enthusiast. Whether it’s recipes at home, BYOBs or fine dining, I’ve got to try it all!  I’ve completed the first level of examination from the Court of Master Sommeliers with hopes of becoming a Certified Sommelier in the future.

I was a contributor to one of the top ten tweets of 2011 back when I was social media manager at Morton’s Restaurant group.  My work has received tremendous praise, including Scott Monty naming us one of the “5 companies that are rocking social media.” So, it’s safe to say that I’m a social media fanatic.
